On Monday March 9, we celebrated the 125th anniversary of our Cadet Combined Force with a fantastic day of military activities, banner procession, parade and special remembrance Chapel service.

Our pupils, staff, OFs, special guests and members of the school community gathered at The Front to witness our incredible CCF banner procession led by parade commander Kit B (Year 13), with the Army section led by Ella O (Year 13) and the RAF section lead by Harry C (Year 13).

Our special Chapel service featured readings from our Heads of School and Head of CCF, alongside prayers by our Principal, Louise North, and hymns; ‘Tell Out My Soul’ and ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’, before pupils headed outside for an attack demonstration and military activities.

A legacy starting from one ambitious pupil 125 years ago, the Framlingham College CCF is just as popular today and still plays a vital role in the life and traditions of the school. With our distinguished military alumni, including three Victoria Cross recipients, and continued success with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, our CCF combines outdoor education with first class military experience days, allowing our pupils to take part in flying, shooting competitions, field days, and acts of remembrance while also developing key life skills in leadership, teamwork, resilience and respect. From team building, strategic planning and communication, our CCF allows all pupils to develop skills that are readily transferable to everyday life.
