To Framlingham and Beyond

Bimbim J I, Year 10 (Pembroke House)

On track for straight As at GCSE

An independent girl from an early age, Bimbim has powerfully shaped her own story. She is a ‘full boarder’ in the truest sense of the word, having boarded since she was five years’ old.

Following in the footsteps of her five older siblings, she joined Framlingham College in the Senior School. Bimbim hails from Nigeria, but during term time, her home is most definitely Pembroke, displaying a strong loyalty to her House, school and friends.

She is devoted to her studies and has an insatiable curiosity about the world. As a result, she thrives on the buzz of success, whether in her academic pursuits, on the hockey field, athletic track or pirouetting away in the dance hall. (And in that, she has a penchant for all things Disney!)

Despite holding a strong sense of tradition and a desire to do well for her family, Bimbim’s biggest learning, keenly supported by the College, has been to embrace personal endeavours outside the classroom – allowing herself time for the hobbies she loves, like playing the piano, reading and now and then indulging in her favourite American superhero show!

It is clear she is inspired by strong, female role models such as Michelle Obama, which has helped imbue a powerful self-belief and evoked a desire to lead change. Indeed, her passionate ‘believe in yourself’ effusions on social media are certainly persuasive.

Our school community has been instrumental in supporting Bimbim’s growth and maturity, widening her understanding of the diverse world we live in. Undoubtedly, as a global citizen, Bimbim will lead an exceptional life after Framlingham and beyond.
