In his governing role, Nigel is Chair of the Safeguarding and Welfare Committee and a member of the Education Committee.
Nigel was a Head for 21 years including leading St Faith’s, Cambridge (TES UK Prep School of the Year 2019) from 2011 to 2021. Previously, he was Head of Brentwood Prep School and Colfe’s Prep School, London. He started his career as a Mathematics Teacher and Sports Coach and moved in to management at Holmwood House Prep School, Colchester, where he was appointed as Director of Studies and Housemaster. His career spans boarding and day schools, junior and senior education and the state and independent sectors.
Nigel is now an Education Consultant, assisting schools in the UK and abroad in their strategic planning, senior staff appraisals and curriculum development. He is also a Lead Inspector and an ILM Level 7 Coach, coaching and mentoring Heads in state and independent schools.
