Educated at Lord Williams School and the University of Oxford, Professor Geoff Hayward was originally a zoologist but became interested in education while a post doc at the University of Liverpool.
He has been Head of the School of Education, University of Leeds and Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. Currently an emeritus Professor at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of Pembroke College, Geoff runs an international educational consultancy.
He became a governor in 2023.
