Day pupils are an integral part of the College. At both the Senior and Prep School, they are fully integrated into every aspect of school life and benefit from the rich and varied opportunities and after school co-curricular activities open to the boarders.
At the Senior School, day pupils belong to one of our seven Houses (Garrett, Kerrison, Rendlesham, Stradbroke, Moreau, Pembroke and Victoria) and are able to share the accommodation and facilities available to boarders. Each House has a strong identity and team spirit, guided by a Housemaster or Housemistress alongside a team of House Tutors and Matrons.
At the Prep School, we offer a flexible start and end to the day for all day pupils from as young as 3. If needed they can arrive in time for breakfast and stay for prep and supper before going home to bed. Each pupil from as young as 3 belongs to one of our four Houses (Britten, Constable, Gainsborough and Wolsey) integrating both day and boarders. This engenders wonderful relationships not only between boarders and the day fraternity but also vertically from the very youngest pupil to the oldest.
Many day pupils choose to take up the opportunity to board occasionally. There is also the ability to change status from day to boarding without any fundamental change to pastoral life.
