On Wednesday 31st January, Year 9 took part in a project day on the theme of international communications and cultural awareness in business.

Lead by a team of students and staff from University of East Anglia (UEA), pupils formed companies and then came up with a concept for a food or drink product. They designed a marketing campaign and business plan to sell their product in a French or Spanish-speaking country. The teams came up with an amazing range of ideas and strategies, which they presented to a “Dragon’s Den” panel at the end of the day. Our students enjoyed discovering how an understanding of languages and cultural differences impact on the way a company markets its products in other countries.
