Year 9 students have created games and more to showcase their extra reading.

Last half term, Miss Cranmer’s class were given the challenge of extending their reading of classic novels beyond the classroom. The class were given some freedom to choose and options varied from ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ to ‘The Portrait of Dorian Gray’. As well as benefitting from the extra reading, the students pushed their creativity further, creating quizzes, guides and board games based around these texts. ‘Best in Show’ according to the English Department was Holly Wills’s ‘1984 – The Board Game’ – but everyone is to be applauded here.
