On Wednesday morning, pupils in Year 7 had the opportunity to share their independent research projects with their peers and parents.

As part of their Humanities studies, pupils were asked to research a war hero and present their findings using whichever media they wished. In many cases, pupils worked with their families to discover more about a family member who fought in one of the world wars. Their projects were full of factual information about regiments, war medals and campaigns. More importantly, they contained anecdotes and personal stories; in many instances, bringing a tear to the eye.

We have been overwhelmed with the level of enthusiasm and passion that the pupils have shown through this project. Every pupil has shown respect and reverence; we are very proud of their efforts. Well done Year 7.
