This summer saw Year 4 returning to the Blaxhall YHA for their much anticipated residential; the bubbling levels of excitement was almost palpable.

The morning’s activities were centred on the idyllic village of Waldringfield, and included a nature ramble along the banks of the River Deben, and a highly competitive crabbing competition – the gappies were not going to be beaten!

A picnic in Rendlesham Forest was next on the itinerary and this was quickly followed by some team den building. It was then time for Blaxhall itself where the village green was a hubbub of rounders and bulldog. Children also enjoyed exploring the hostel, and were quick to choose names for their dorms such as ‘The Dormies Return’.

All-in-all the children were an absolute pleasure to take away and I’m sure they will continue to do the school proud whilst away on future residential trips.
