Can we find out the size of the biggest hail stone?  Why are there reports of it raining fish?  What is a twister?  Why are there so many earthquakes in the Ring of Fire?  These are just many questions Year 2 have been asking as they study “The Power of Nature”.

As part of their focus, they have been studying volcanoes.  They each made a clay version, kindly fired by Mr Lenton.  They were then painted with a paint and PVA glue mixture to make them look more realistic.

The finale was of course to create the explosions using a mixture of bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and red food colouring.
