On Monday several of our Year 12 linguists took part in a conference on Foreign Language Film hosted by Colchester Royal Grammar School.
They listened to Sue Harris, Professor of Film Studies at Queen Mary University of London speak about Foreign Language Films in general and the award winning French film ‘Entre les murs’ in particular. Students then took part in French, German or Spanish workshops on the language of film analysis. The knowledge gained is sure to help students with the film study aspect of their A Level courses.
