The College was without all its Year 12 students last Friday as they journeyed to London for the second annual careers trip. Fun was had at the Skills London careers show where students tried the art of brick-laying, watched Mr Myers-Allen show his impressive press-ups ability, and occasionally had careers-based conversations that could help them in the future.

Afternoon placements allowed them a taster of a career. Sixteen hosts kindly opened their doors and provided our students with an insight into a particular career – on offer were placements in areas such as insurance, catering, politics, graphic design, and many more. All were incredible opportunities for students to see work in London.

Our evening reception was hosted by OF Richard Graves at JLT Re in Aldgate, and the Society of Old Framlinghamians provided refreshments for the students and for a collection of OFs. It was a great opportunity for both groups – one to learn more about different careers, and the other to find out what’s new at the College.

A highly successful and enjoyable day all round.
