On the 7th and 8th October two sections of Year 11 Cadets went to MoD Woodbridge for an overnight exercise and to complete the final part of the syllabus that they all need to achieve the treasured Army Proficiency Certificate. They took part in section attacks, casualty evacuation procedures and night-time harbour drills on quite a spooky area made famous for the Rendlesham alien encounter back in the 1980s. Delighted by their achievement, the cadets can now progress to the Junior NCO Cadre course which also allows them to accumulate Volunteering points for their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
