Ruby in Year 10 (Pembroke) found out this week that she has been selected as the Suffolk winner for the 2020 Poetry by Heart competition.
Ruby, our College winner, was filmed (way back in March…) reciting two poems (‘Miss Loo’ and ‘Considering the Snail’) for the nationwide Poetry by Heart competition. It is a great accolade for Ruby who, according to the judges, had “excellent diction…and showed sensitive handling of the poem’s rhythmic modulations” and we look forward to her competing again next year.
