On Sunday 22 and Monday 23 September, almost the entire Year 10 group set off to complete the 30km, two-day walk in the wonderful countryside of Suffolk: the final part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

A splattering of warm rain throughout the evening on the first day, failed to dampen their enthusiasm and the expeditioners rose to the occasion with typical Framlingham spirit.

The new Principal, Louise North, took time out of her hectic schedule to meet the youngsters at their campsites and generously smuggled cake to an appreciative audience.

Mr Salisbury, who runs the Bronze expedition training, was delighted with the attitude of his students and the huge take up rate at Silver is largely down to his popular charm and successful leadership style.
