Year 10 and 11 pupils took part in a Linguistic and Cultural visit to Madrid during half term.

Activities included a visit to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, seeing the university of Alcalá de Henares and the birthplace of Cervantes. Students enjoyed the lively atmosphere of central Madrid and took a Segway tour of this wonderful city.

We attended a workshop on flamenco rythms and playing the flamenco “cajon” drum. We learned that it certainly does rain in Spain! Here are some Year 11 girls making the acquaintance of Don Quijote and Sancho Panza in a rainly Alcalá de Henares.
