The U18 team secured a slot at this weekends National Finals with a fine display of indoor hockey on Monday at the East Finals.

The first game proved to be the most crucial of the day against Norwich who ended up finishing third. This was a slightly nervy display but an Abby Gooderham penalty corner broke the deadlock and eased the tension. The game to decide the East Champions against Kent College produced two early errors meaning a 2-0 deficit which always proved hard to claw back against a team defending very deep.

The remaining matches had to be won and the girls more than stepped up to the plate beating Coopers 7-0 and Haileybury 7-0 to secure a spot in what will be a very tough National Finals competition this weekend.
