The U13s started well at the IAPS East of England Hockey Finals held at Bishop’s Stortford College.  A great performance against Junior King’s Canterbury, winning 3-0, was followed by a fantastic game of hockey, which ended 1-1 against a very skilful King’s College Cambridge side. The girls then proceeded to beat Bishop Stortford (2-1), Beeston Hall Norfolk (4-0) and Town Close Norfolk (2-0) with their final group game an exhibition of attacking hockey against Feltonfleet School (Surrey), ending in a 3-3 draw.

Their quarter final was against Felsted (Essex). The girls secured their place in the semis with a 1-0 win. They then went on to win their semi-final 1-0 against St Faiths’ (Cambridge) in a hard fought game. This was enough to take the girls into the final which was to be a rematch of the pool game against King’s College Cambridge but it proved to be one game too many for the girls which they lost 3-0.

This silver medal means the talented U13 side qualify for the National Finals in November.

Both the U11s and U13s have had a tremendous half-term and will go onto represent Suffolk (alongside Orwell Park and Ipswich School) at the East of England Champions and the National Finals at Rugby School (U11) and Millfield (U13).

Framlingham College is very proud of the achievements of the girls who yet again will experience playing hockey at the very highest level against the best young hockey players in the country.
