The Framlingham College Prep School U13 Boys team had a successful afternoon at the County Cup at Framlingham College on Friday finishing as runners up. They played some super hockey and comfortably won their group, beating Woodbridge 4-1, OBH 5-0 and RHS 6-0. They then came up against a skillful Barnardiston side who were runners up in their pool, scoring two late goals to win the game 2-0.
This meant FCPS had qualified for the East round of the In2Hockey Tournament held at Bedford in March. The final against Ipswich School had all the makings of a super game, as they had comfortably won their pool. It proved to be a real exhibition of fantastic prep school hockey, despite FCPS having lots of chances, Ipswich took their one chance and won the game 1-0. The whole team can be very proud of themselves and have made real progress so far this season.
