Following hot on the heels of Framlingham College winning a hat-trick of County hockey titles, the U11 girls have had a fantastic day at the IAPS East of England Hockey Finals at Orwell Park School.

The girls were placed in a difficult group but secured excellent victories over Edge Grove School from Hertfordshire 4-0, Stephen Perse from Cambridgeshire 2-0 and Wellingborough School from Northants 2-0. Despite two close drawn matches with Orwell park 0-0 and Town Close 1-1, the girls progressed to the semi-finals where they faced Ipswich Prep School. After the game finished all square after full time the Framlingham girls kept their nerve to win 2-0 on penalty shuffles.

In the final the girls played St Faith’s from Cambridgeshire and won 2-0, which meant both Framlingham and St Faith’s will go on to represent the East of England at the IAPS National Hockey Finals at Repton School in Derbyshire on Friday 12th November.

This is the third year in succession that a Framlingham U11 team have reached the National Finals and we wish the all of the teams the very best of luck in November.
