On Friday 25th June, Framlingham College played host to the U11 Girls IAPS Cricket Tournament.  This turned out to be a fantastic day of pairs cricket.  It was an encouraging sign with the quality of cricket on show and enthusiasm for the game all round.

FCPS fielded 2 teams in the tournament which was played on the Back and Dixons.

After the pool stage the As were pitted against Holmwood House in the Semi-Final. They won this and booked their place in the Final against The Perse. The girls had actually already played them in the pool stages and had lost by one run. This time the As finished with a nail-biting draw so the result had to look to wickets taken. The Perse had taken 3, Fram just 2.  They finished as Runners-Up to take home the silver medals.

The Bs had a great day too in what was a learning curve for them. Pitted against other schools’ A teams they beat St Joseph’s but lost all their other matches. In each one they put up a good fight and really challenged their opposition.  Great for a B team to get that experience.
