A bus and car, full of netballers from both the U13 and U11 netball squads, set off to Canterbury, Kent on Friday afternoon accompanied by Mrs Ball, Mrs King, Mrs Long and Mrs Drury. Arriving with time to spare before their first match against Junior Kings, Canterbury, a quick warm up preceded their first matches. Both teams played against the Bs with convincing wins. A restorative cup of tea and then we followed the very accommodating Scotty, the Head of Sports, to the Premier Inn in Canterbury. We swung straight in to supper, followed by a walk around Canterbury Cathedral and a netball based quiz organised by Mrs King. Everyone was very ready for bed.

Saturday morning started with bowling in Ashford, where we met up with the Boys’ Hockey Tour and, after mixed results, all set off in convoy back to Junior Kings Canterbury. After a delicious lunch with our hosts, the U13s faced tougher matches against the A team and from visitors, Wellesley House. The U11s played against the A team from Junior Kings. A solid afternoon of netball was enjoyed and we learnt from all matches.
Mrs Drury and Mrs Ball then drove us home and we arrived back happy but weary from a super weekend.
