The very first meeting of Fram Rangers got off to a wonderful start as nearly 25 eager Year 10’s met in the afternoon sunshine by the newly built bouldering wall and currently under construction indoor archery room.
All looked smart in their Fram Rangers fleeces and were greeted and inducted by their ‘Instructors’, a team of 9 current Sixth Form students who will be introducing them to a range of fun, yet challenging activities throughout the coming year. This first session provided a mere taster of what’s to come for our Rangers this year. While one group got to grips, quite literally, with the bouldering wall, others learned how to make fire in a survival situation while some got to try their hand at some off-road cycling.
This new endeavour for the College is student led and staff supervised, and looks set to contain an exciting and educational array of opportunities for the Rangers this year, so watch this space for updates on future activities!
