This year’s Summer Concert certainly brightened up a wet and dreary Friday evening, in the beautiful surroundings of St Michael’s Church, Framlingham. From start to finish, we were treated to outstanding performances – this really was a fabulous evening!

The varied programme highlighted the strengths of all of our performers, while clearly providing stretch and challenge throughout. All Senior school ensembles performed, including Cambiata choir which involves boys from Years 7 – 9. Music scholars Amelia Schroeter, Maggie Miković and Marty Gionis delivered their farewell solo performances with poise, musicality and mature interpretations. Such great ambassadors for the focused and tailored music scholars’ program!

This was Headmaster, Paul Taylor’s final formal music event, so the final three choir pieces were chosen to represent the impact he has had on the staff and pupils, and the love he has shown to all. Tears were certainly shed, especially during ‘Underneath the Stars’. From all of the musicians and music staff, we wish Mr Taylor luck for the future.
