Last Thursday four students from Years 12 and 13 attended the Senior Team Maths Challenge at Northgate School in Ipswich.
Over three hours the team took part in three rounds. Firstly, a group round of 10 demanding and complicated problems. Secondly, they had to complete a crossword based on numbers. In this round, the team scored an amazing 60 out of 62 points available. The third round consisted of a relay round with questions and answers being swapped between the different members of the team.
Despite very stiff competition from 15 other schools, the College team achieved a very impressive third place.
The team consisted of Victor Yu, Tabby Billingham, Will Gladwell and Rufus Easey.
