Last week the Headmaster Porter Theatre at Framlingham College was transported back to the 1940s in the Prep School’s Senior Production of ‘The Vackees’.

A long term of rehearsing culminated last week with four performances. The Theatre was transported back to the 40s, as we watched the encounters of some London kids evacuated to the Somerset countryside. Two hours of songs and dance lead us through a whole remit of emotions. The fear of bombed out London, the carefree joy of the country, the young love and wartime romances and the agony of losing loved ones.

Heather Alabaster lead the cast with a superb portrayal of Kip, but was ably supported by Chloe Macmillan, Mimi Wilson, Dan North and Oscar Franklin. However; it was the team effort of the various gangs that really pulled the show together. Each member giving their all for the collective benefit of the show. I am very proud of all they achieved and could not have asked for a greater effort!
