On Wednesday, 2nd March, a representative from Christ Church College, Oxford came in to speak with our Year 11 Pryor House group.

It was both very informative and entertaining and our students said how useful the two hour session was. Topics covered included information about studying and living in both Oxford and Cambridge, and a detailed look at how the College system operates. The session then moved on to the application process and our students learnt about the timeline, choosing a course and the importance of undertaking wider reading/academic enrichment.

The afternoon concluded with some typical Oxford interview questions; this was an excellent exercise, with our students getting involved in lively discussion about the topics and then having to re-think their positions when confronted with new information. It is hoped that they will feel suitably inspired by this talk and will now really focus on getting excellent GCSE grades!
