On Wednesday, eight students in Year 12 considering applying to Oxford or Cambridge were able to go on a residential trip to Christ Church College, Oxford.
As well as having the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Christ Church College, students had time to explore the city and, on the final morning, were given a tour of some of the more unexplored gems of Oxford such as the Rhodes House library as well as visiting St Edmund Hall and Jesus College. Other highlights included watching a live ‘mock interview’ and opportunities to talk to subject tutors in small groups. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking visit which has left the students more knowledgeable about the application process and given them some glimpses of what life could be like as an Oxbridge undergraduate.
