On Tuesday 13th June, 22 pupils travelled to the Cambridge University Athletics track to compete in the IAPS East Anglian (Southern Region) Junior Championships. This is an exceptionally tough competition with 30 schools competing at the Under 10 and 11 age groups. However, all our pupils performed incredibly well, with the vast majority of them achieving a personal best in their events.
There are a few that merit special mention. Beth Gardens, having hot-footed it across from winning the County tennis final, came 4th in U11 Long Jump and 3rd in the U11 100m. Artemis Wild came 5th in the U10 Long Jump. Our U10 Girls 4x100m Relay team, consisting of Evie Tassell, Mia Spaull, Artemis and Honor Wild, came 3rd. Alex Harrop and Mia Spaull set new school records in the U10 600m and U9 75m respectively. We are very proud of all those who took part and look forward to seeing them compete at the Inter-House Sports Day next week.
