On Friday 5th October members of the newly founded Framlingham College Business Club enjoyed their inaugural breakfast meeting.
The club exists primarily to provide a valuable networking forum for current parents, ex-pupils and friends of the College and it is clear that it will grow and evolve over the months and years ahead (plans are already afoot for a London-based club). On 31st October the online directory will be available on the College’s website for all to see and the link will be sent to all of our stakeholders. There are many benefits to forming a business club and, from an educational perspective, members will be able help the College learn more about what employers are looking for in youngsters today and in so doing it may even help shape our constantly evolving curriculum.
In addition, offers of career advice, internships, work experience and help with our ‘Dragons Den’ activity are just a few examples of why members were so warmly welcomed today. Also the College will be listening very carefully to what the members are looking to get out of this special relationship so that we can help promote and support the huge number of businesses that are associated to the College’s wider community – affectionately referred to by Paul Taylor as the ‘Framily’.
