In the Marketing Mix - Framlingham College

This week’s iCanAspire session was an excellent morning led by Mr Mike Milne, Head of Business Studies and Economics at Framlingham College. He introduced the pupils to elements of the Marketing Mix.

Having been given a ‘new’ chocolate, the children had to come up with the product packaging whilst also thinking how they would promote it, what price range they were targeting and where it would be placed in the market – the 4P’s of marketing!

The children soon became absorbed in the task, coming up with lots of superb ideas. Thoughts on colours, logos and tag lines soon provoked lively conversations. A mix of computer research and pencil drawings developed a range of designs. The groups even blocked out video storyboards that could be used for TV adverts. The final concepts were then pitched to the rest of the group – Dragon’s Den eat your heart out!
