Thirty one gallant swimmers from FCPS made the journey to Bishop’s Stortford to take part in an IAPS regional gala on 5th March 2018. This was the largest group we have taken to the IAPS competition and this year we also included children from Year 4 upwards.
We had swimmers undertaking individual events as well as relay teams and whilst official times will be released in late April, some of our own unofficial times show that we had many PBs achieved. Fingers crossed for success as the Nationals will be held at the Olympic pool in Stratford.
All the children were excellent ambassadors for the school and their swimming showed the efforts of Audrey Tovey, and her team of coaches, are doing an excellent job of enabling our children to reach their potential in the pool.
Many thanks must go to Elaine Cogdell, for her organisation of the day, and to Matt Naunton whose pre-swim calm and coaching allowed the children to give of their best.
