It has been a successful half-term across the board from a sports perspective for a number of our pupils.
Athletics
Will L. won the bronze medal in the U17 shot at the England Athletics National Indoor Championships.
Cricket
A fantastic performance for the Northampton County Cricket Club Academy from Fred H. as he finished with figures of 14-5-34-4, captaining the side, against the President’s XI in the Cayman Islands.
Hockey
Daisy F., Georgie G. & Olivia B. all made their international debuts at the first NAGS camp of the year against Ireland. Daisy and Olivia, who represented the U16’s won 5-0 and 1-0 in their games of the series. Georgie represented the U18’s who also won both of their NAGS series games 2-1 and 8-2.
Ollie J. represented England for the NAGS U18’s series against Ireland, winning both of his games 3-1 and 4-2. He is pictured above alongside Owen L. who was selected for Wales U18’s to play in their test series against Scotland during Easter.
Rugby
Both Isaac P. and Will L. represented Northampton Saints Academy vs. Saracens. Isaac played 2nd row for the U16’s who unfortunately lost, while Will played and captained the U15’s side who drew 35-35.
Jake M. and Taylor H-J. were both named in the Lambs Rugby starting line-up to play Coventry Rugby Academy. Unfortunately the Lambs lost 17-5 on a waterlogged 4G pitch but a great experience for them both regardless.
