Congratulations to our senior athletes who represented the school at the IAPS East Area Athletics Finals at Bedford International Stadium on Thursday.
We had an amazing day with five of our pupils earning a place in the National Finals! Sophie Petitt in the U12 girls’ discus, Will Lamprell in the U12 boys’ shot, Emma Williamson in the U12 girls high jump, breaking the school record, Jonny Peate in the U13 boys’ 1,500m and Mimi Salsby in the U14 girls’ 800m all became East of England champions and will go on to represent the East of England at The Alexander Stadium in Birmingham in July.
Will has also qualified in the U12 high jump and in doing so broke the school high jump record which had stood since 1981!
Well done to all of our athletes who represented the school for all of your efforts and for representing the school with such enormous credit.
