The Framlingham College Prep School U13 Rugby team continued their extraordinary year by winning the Northampton Saints Redrow 7’s Festival held at the Royal Hospital School.
The boys remained unbeaten throughout the day, beating Samuel Ward School (40-0), Woodbridge (35-5), Culford (45-0), Colchester Royal Grammar School (30-10) and Finborough School in the Final (25-0). Both Framlingham and Finborough qualify for the Regional Finals which will be held in April at Franklin’s Gardens. At these Finals, they will compete against the best rugby playing schools from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Framlingham College’s Director of Sport, Nick Gandy, said “These are exciting times for our U13 team. They are a very talented side who have relished the challenge of playing rugby 7’s. We can’t wait to watch their progress and see how they develop as a team over the coming years. We wish them every success in the Regional Finals.”
