Well done to Framlingham College Prep School U11 Girls Hockey team who came 6th at the IAPS National Finals which were held at Repton School.

Despite a tricky start losing to The Elms, Colwall, 2-1, the girls remained calm winning their next match St Andrews Eastbourne 3-0. The next match was thrilling, with real end to end hockey being played in a drawn match v Brighton College from Sussex. In our final match we played group leaders St Micheal’s from Kent, who in a nerve jangling finish we beat 2-1 with a short corner strike in the last play of the game.

This result made us group winners. We then went on to play Kingswood School from Wiltshire in the quarter finals. In an incredibly close game we lost 2-1 and Kingswood went on to become National Champions.

In our last two games we beat Chaffyn Grove 1-0 and lost to St Michael’s in the 5th and 6th play off.

We are all so proud of the Framlingham Prep girls who played some fabulous hockey today and who represented the school with such pride.
