Our incredible Senior 1st XI boys and girls hockey teams set themselves an Extreme Hockey Dribbling Fundraising Challenge, to coincide with the Olympics taking place in Paris this year, our hockey teams dribbled two balls – one representing the men’s hockey team and one representing the women’s hockey team – the distance between Framlingham College and the Paris Olympic Stadium, a total of 489km or 1,671 laps of the pitch.

Starting our challenge on May 23 at 1pm, our amazing pupils and members of the school community dribbled all through the night, finishing just over 24 hours later on May 24 at 1:05pm.

Inspired by our coach Andy Halliday, who completed the London Marathon dribbling a hockey ball, the idea came from the 1st XI girls to raise money for local mental health charity The Nest Farms alongside the redevelopment of our Inskip’s Astro Turf.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part or donated, there’s still time to donate here.
