Wednesday’s House Swimming was a fitting and wonderful end to what has been a very successful term for FCPS in the swimming pool. With over 130 pupils from Years 3-8 representing the four houses and with some outstanding swimmers competing; expectations were high of a tremendous gala. Countless personal bests were recorded. Courage, determination and sportsmanship were the order of the day and countless records tumbled.
Alex Harrop had an incredible afternoon and broke the boys U11IM, front-crawl and the back-stroke records. Luke Berry and Sam Jackson both set new U9 records breast-stroke and front crawl respectively. Both Luke and Sam were also part of the Constable team (with William Russell and Toby Orford) who also broke the U9 boys relay record.
The overall winners this year were Constable (who lead from the start) and the runners-up were Britten, who just pipped Gainsborough by two points.
Well done to all of the swimmers who represented their houses with such credit and enthusiasm.
