On the 8th and 9th March the Army Section journeyed to RAF Barnham in Thetford for a 48 hour exercise on the occasion of their Biennial Inspection.

The Inspecting Officer was Colonel A D Fairbanks Weston TD CStj DL VR, Chairman, Suffolk Reserve Forces and Cadets Association and Honorary Colonel, Suffolk Army Cadet Force, accompanied by the Principal, Mrs J L M North.

The reviewing party witnessed the recruits in action completing their Weapon Handling Tests with the LA98A2 assault rifle and the advanced infantry rehearsing harbour drills before visiting the RAF section and their camouflage and concealment exercise.

Mrs North displayed outstanding acting skills and was able to infiltrate an enemy unit, but was, unfortunately, dispatched a while later by a well orchestrated deliberate ambush.

We do hope she recovers well and joins us again because she and the inspecting officer will then continue to see the camaraderie, teamwork and leadership skill that cadets develop as cadets in Framlingham College CCF.
