Art Scholars went to Ipswich to see the Made in Suffolk exhibition featuring memorabilia and painting of and by Ed Sheeran.
Art Scholars travelled to Ipswich on Thursday 13th February to explore the exhibition called Art Forms in Nature at Ipswich Gallery featuring incredible natural forms photography by Karl Blossfeldt and exquisite botanical illustrations by Guy William Eves.
We strolled down to see the incredible main hall of Ipswich Museum and view the Wooly Mammoth, Giraffe, Monkeys and Lions in the glass cases. But the main draw was, of course, the Made in Suffolk exhibition in the Wolsey Gallery at Christchurch Mansions. The excitement among the scholars was more than I could have expected as they squealed with delight over Ed’s GCSE Art sketchbook as much as they examined up close the brush strokes in the Colin Davidson paintings and the lighting in the Mark Surridge photographs. A quick explore of the Mansion and the beautiful park before the journey back to Framlingham.
