The Framlingham College Poetry by Heart competition culminated in a nail-biting final. Amelia Schroeter pipped boisterous and charismatic runner-up Oscar Welsh by the finest of margins to win her second ‘crown’.

Amelia recited Paul Dunbar’s ‘Invitation to Love’ and Edward Thomas’s ‘Lights Out’ with sensitivity and nuance and we wish her luck in the County final. The other finalists, who also competed superbly, were Martha Fiske and Will Gladwell.
