To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, and kick start this term’s study of Shakespeare, Year Six at Brandeston Hall were tasked with creating a model of The Globe and their teachers waited with bated breath for the models to arrive at the beginning of this term.

As luck would have itat one fell swoop we found ourselves surrounded by the most creative Globes we had ever seen: Lego, zany sheet chocolate, sponge cake with shredded wheat and Ryvita thatching – a dish fit for the gods, clay and audiences made from pipe cleaners were all in evidence.

We were absolutely thrilled and now look forward to watching their open air performances of Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in June.
