Brought up in East Suffolk, Andrew Reid was educated at St Paul’s School, University College London and City University Business School (Bayes Business School).

He spent 30 years in the City in banking and risk management and then in 2011 was elected as a Suffolk County Councillor. Since then he has held a number of positions, including Deputy Member for Finance, Chairman of ACCESS, a £45bn pooled pension fund and is currently Cabinet Member for Education and SEND.

Andrew is married with three children, two of whom attended Framlingham College and the third the Prep School.
