A superb day of indoor hockey saw the U18’s narrowly pipped to the East Title by St. Lawrence after a thrilling day. The girls join our U18 boys and U16 girls at the National Finals in January, a historic achievement to have three teams at the National Finals.

The day started with two excellent performances beating a good Ley’s team 6-0 with Georgie Cantrell scoring five times. Haileybury and Stamford were beaten 4-2 and 11-0 to set up a mouthwatering and Championship deciding game against St. Lawrence College. A very even game was won by a single penalty corner strike and some fine goalkeeping from the Kent Champions.

Two more excellent performances were to follow, a 5-1 win against New Hall and a superb 6-1 win against Norwich School in a game the girls had to win to secure 2nd place and a spot at the National Finals on January 10th & 11th at Bromsgrove School.
