U18 Boys win Indoor County Cup and onto East Finals

Wednesday 20 Nov 2019

By: Jamie Kingstone

The Framlingham College U18 boys won the Indoor County Cup beating Ipswich School in a tense final game.

The opening games saw comfortable wins against RHS 8-0 and Culford 4-0 but the final match was a winner takes all affair although a draw would have seen Ipswich win on goal difference.

Framlingham scored an early penalty corner thanks to Owen Lloyd only to see Ipswich press hard and begin to cause a few problems. And when they scored a penalty stroke to level the game up Framlingham stepped up a gear and scored two stunning counter attack goals. The first a spin shot from Sam Wash and the second and superb counter attack finished by Owen Lloyd.

The Suffolk county Champions move on the East Finals in December.
