The Sixth Form Staff Team at Framlingham College are committed to giving our pupils the opportunity to receive outstanding support and guidance as they make choices about their Sixth Form journey as well as guidance on careers and tailored support when choosing their next step after school. The core vision of the College is that we nurture and prepare our pupils to thrive as global citizens in the wider world.
In order to help your son or daughter think about their academic programme for the Sixth Form, and make informed choices we have created the resources below:
Sixth Form Curriculum Booklet 2020/21
Most Sixth Form pupils will begin studying 4 A Levels or the BTEC equivalent. (The BTEC Diploma is the equivalent of two A Levels; the BTEC Certificate course is the equivalent of one A Level.) This booklet explains the content and qualification of each A Level and BTEC course as well as the mode of assessment.
Sixth Form Pathway Videos
These were made in the last few weeks of term and present an interview with pupils in Years 12 and 13 on each and every A Level/BTEC and Pre-U subject. They give useful, personal insight into the experience of studying the subjects from the Sixth Formers’ point of view.
- There is no film currently for A Level Latin, but this subject is on offer should pupils wish to take it.
- To view the playlist of all 27 subject videos, press the 1/27 icon in the top right hand corner of the video player below).
