Rob Caskie visits Framlingham College Chapel

Wednesday 10 Oct 2018

By: Rev. Brynn Bayman, Framlingham College Chaplain |

The College recently welcomed Rob Caskie to our Community. He is a world renowned expert in the Anglo-Boer and Anglo-Zulu Wars. He is also an exceptional orator and has been invited to speak at fine venues such as the Royal Geographical Society as well as being the leading figure in Anglo- Zulu Battle Field Lectures as presented at the sites of Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana.

The College Chapel has a memorial to those ten OF’s that fell in the Anglo Boer war and the OF society also installed the Pulpit as a memorial to their lives. Rob took the opportunity in Chapel, speaking to some 400+ students and staff, to energise the students about the realities of those wars and lessons that were learned by all. His ability to capture the narrative of such significant moments in the UK’s history will live long in the minds of the students.
