Recycling Maths in Year 4

Thursday 24 May 2018
recycling maths

Year 4 pupils have immersed themselves in a Recycling Project and have been putting their Maths skills to great use. Working collaboratively, they have created an array of ‘Recycling Rubbish’ board games incorporating money, dice, times tables, positive and negative integers and one ingenious group even included riddles as a forfeit!

The rest of the morning was spent sorting all the recycling that the pupils had collected over the week into separate materials and recording data in tally charts to later create graphs and tables.

It was wonderful to see the pupils working together to learn about the importance of recycling and have the opportunity to put their maths skills to good use.
