Primary Maths Challenge

Friday 17 Nov 2017

Maths is making our pupil’s smile! A double celebration for our young mathematicians at Framlingham College Prep School this week.

On Monday, the first six Gold Mathletics certificates of the academic year were awarded by Headmaster, Mr King to Inigo Bueno de Mesquita, Mia Spaull, Kai Thomson, Alice Verbeyli, Cate Kerr and Gabriella Muir.

Yesterday, 40 pupils from Year 5 & 6 sat the Primary Maths Challenge; a national competition to stimulate and extend learners – pupils needed to use approximation, estimation and numeracy skills to a fiendishly tricky set of fun questions. Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates were awarded to the delighted children by our Head of Maths, Mrs Russell in school assembly today.

All in all, plenty of maths success to celebrate!
