The Senior School
The Medical Centre at the Senior School is managed by our highly trained professional nursing team 24 hours a day, seven days a week during term time.
Between the hours of 0800-1900hrs a qualified nurse will be in the medical centre available to see pupils as needed. Between the hours of 1900-0800 a qualified nurse will be on-call and will be available to come into the medical centre as needed during this time.
The Medical Centre is a short walk from the main school and the boarding houses and provides comfortable accommodation for boarders if they are unwell.
There is a treatment room where the pupils are seen by a member of the nursing team and there is a quiet day room as well as 2 other rooms which are available to be used for counselling, sports therapy or sensitive meetings.
All full boarders are registered as NHS patients with the School Medical Officers. These are GP’s that are based at Framlingham Medical Practice which is in very close proximation to the school. Part-boarders are also given the opportunity to register too.
Doctors clinics are run in the Medical Centre twice a week for boarders.
The Prep School:
School Nurses and Matrons run the medical centre at the Prep School. Children can call in at any time of the day if they feel unwell. They are well-looked after and the school contacts parents to discuss treatments or collection. The medical centre is also very involved in supporting children who may be having pastoral wobbles and works closely with the safeguarding team to provide the best possible care for each child.
